Transportation on Demand provides standard and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) to individuals and facilities. Standard transportation requires no assistance, while NEMT transportation includes additional care or support while traveling with us, but are not facing an emergency situation requiring an ambulance. This includes clients who are bed-ridden, in wheelchairs, and individuals with other health or safety concerns.
Curb-to-curb transportation is our standard transportation used by clients who do not require any type of assistance while traveling with us. Our curb-to-curb transportation clients are able to enter and exit our vehicles independently.
Through ambulatory transportation, we serve passengers who require minimal assistance getting to/from appointments and events, but are unable to drive themselves.
For passengers who need a little extra care, our drivers will pick you up at your doorstep and ensure you get into our vehicle safely, and at your destination, we’ll help you exit the vehicle and get to the entrance of the building.
For individuals who are unable to travel in a sitting position, bed-ridden, or who must remain in a horizontal position for health reasons, we offer non-medical stretcher transportation. We have specialized vehicles equipped to safely transport our clients while laying on stretchers. We also employ trained healthcare professionals to aid our non-medical stretcher patients from their home to their destination.
Transportation on Demand conveys clients in wheelchairs or who cannot walk unassisted using our wheelchair transportation vehicles. Our trained staff loads clients in their wheelchairs into our specialized vehicles which are equipped with safety restraints to always keep the wheelchairs secure. Or, if the client prefers, we can assist them from their wheelchair to sit comfortably in a vehicle seat.
Our bariatric transportation is tailored to meet the unique needs of patients who require additional space and support during transit, prioritizing their dignity, safety, and comfort. We also utilize vehicles outfitted with reinforced, extra-wide stretchers or high-capacity wheelchairs for this service.
Some individuals may require assistance getting out of their home and entering their destination. With door-through-door transportation, our trained staff enters the home of our clients to assist them with exiting their home and entering our vehicles. We also assist our clients with entering their destination. Transportation on Demand staff is trained to help our door-through-door transportation clients maneuver onto a stretcher or wheelchair, or even aid them with walking.
Transportation on Demand offers group non-emergency medical transportation for multiple passengers traveling to the same medical facility or to nearby locations. Please contact us if you would like to schedule this type of transportation.
